Morocco tells Coe of Africa’s Olympic hopes

Morocco’s sports minister says it’s the dream of millions of Africans to host the Olympics one day

Minister Mohamed Ouzzine met with Sebastian Coe, the former two-time Olympic 1,500-meter champion who heads the organizing committee for the 2012 London Games.

Coe also met Thursday with Moroccan Olympic champions Nawal El Moutawakel and Hicham el Guerrouj.

Coe said during a visit to Tanzania this week that he hopes to see the Olympics come to Africa for the first time.
