Zamalek may allow their midfielder Mahmoud Abdel-Razik “Shikabala” to go out on loan if the Egyptian Premier League season is cancelled.

The season is currently postponed following the Port Said football disaster that killed at least 74 people and injured hundreds on 1 February, and may be cancelled due to security concerns.

“We might approve Shikabala’s move for financial reasons if the season is cancelled,” Zamalek board member Ibrahim Youssef told Ahram Online.

The Cairo-based club recently refused a 2 million euros offer for Shikabala from Chinese side Shandong Luneng Taishan.

Zamalek are currently third in the league table, behind leaders Hara Al-Hodoud and second-placed Ahly.
