Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi
President Abdel-Fattah El Sisi said on Monday the security of Gulf countries was part of Egypt's national security.
According to the Egyptian presidency, President El-Sisi discussed the recent regional and international developments with the Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim in Cairo.
During the meeting, attended by Egyptian House of Representatives Speaker Ali Abdel-Aal, head of General Intelligence Abbas Kamel and Kuwait's ambassador in Cairo, El-Sisi said Egypt and Kuwait enjoyed close relations and Egypt was keen on boosting parliamentary relations with Kuwait, Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
Al-Ghanim conveyed the greetings of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and asserted the Kuwaiti government's appreciation of the strong historical ties with Egypt.
El-Sisi visited Kuwait and met with Al-Sabah two weeks ago.
