Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and his French counterpart Emmanual Macron discussed bilateral ties and economic relations on the sidelines of the 74th United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Egyptian presidency said in a statement.
El-Sisi and Macron also discussed regional developments in the Middle East, especially the international efforts to reach a political reconciliation in Libya that could restore stability and end terrorism in the war-torn country.
El-Sisi praised during the meeting the strength of Egyptian-French bilateral relations.
Macron praised the friendly relations between the Egyptian and French people.
