Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour has announced that Senegalese club Generation Foot will return home on Sunday without playing the game against the Cairo giants in the second leg of the CAF Champions League round of 32.

The Senegalese side said they insist on facing Zamalek in Cairo on Saturday instead of Alexandria a day later after the recent decision to change both the date and venue of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Zamalek were due to host Generation Foot at Cairo's Petro Sport Stadium on Saturday, but the match was moved to Alexandria's Borg El-Arab Stadium a day later for security reasons after CAF agreed to move the match.

"Generation Foot firmly refused to travel to Borg El-Arab Stadium and they won't play the game," Mansour told a television programme early on Sunday.

"Generation Foot's president is preparing to fly to Senegal and all the team will leave Egypt on Sunday," Mansour said.

"The Senegalese team requested to visit the Egyptian Museum on Sunday instead of playing the game.

"They want to visit the Egyptian Museum to prove that there is no crisis for foreigners in Cairo so there is no security need to change game's venue to Alexandria's Borg El-Arab Stadium," Mansour said.

The Zamalek president also accused Generation Foot's president of receiving a bribe to not play the game.

On Friday, the African football governing body CAF officially informed Generation Foot about the new venue and said the date was postponed by 24 hours.

"Zamalek is not part of the crisis as the Confederation of the African Football, who told us about the game's date and venue," Mansour said.

"We will attend the at the game's stadium on time then the referee will announce Zamalek as winner of the game as well as reaching the Champions League group stage."

Generation Foot arrived at Cairo's Petrosport Stadium on Saturday evening but were barred from entering by the stadium's officials.

Zamalek dealt a 2-1 away loss in the first leg on 14 October.
