The World Bank (WB) and the World Health Organization (WHO) have praised Egypt’s achievements in human capital investment, especially in education and healthcare.
The international organisations praised the country’s inclusive health insurance system and the 100 million Health Initiative, and said that African countries are benefiting from Egypt’s experience in combating chronic illnesses.
Officials from the WB and the WHO made the comments during the World Bank and International Monetary Fund annual meetings in Washington.
Meanwhile, Egypt’s Minister for Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr said that Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi is prioritising human capital investment by adopting an ambitious programme to fight pandemic threats.
