The second edition of Cairo Industry Days (CID) is kicking-off its heavy schedule of activities Saturday with a number of seminars, panel discussions and master classes.
Under helm of producer Mohamed Hefzy, the filmmakers event is being held parallel to the 41st Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), 22-26 November, at the Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel and the Cairo Opera House (Hanager Theatre).
"CID brings together some of the leading film industry professionals from around the world to exchange ideas and expertise," reads a statement by the event's organisers.
Cairo Industry Days provides a space for discussion, networking, meetings, workshops, master classes and partnership opportunities between Arab filmmakers and regional and international industry professionals to further support for Arab cinema.
This year's event contains three sections: Cairo Film Connection, EAVE On Demand Cairo and the Screen Buzz TV workshop.
