Zamalek to face Spain’s Real Betis in UAE

Zamalek will face Spanish side Real Betis in friendly game during their training camp in the United Arab Emirates

Zamalek will hold a training camp in the UAE from 10-20 March, the Cairo club announced on Tuesday.

According to the team’s managing director Hamada Anwar, Zamalek will face UAE side Al-Wasl, who are managed by Argentina’s legend Diego Maradona, on the 13th of March, before playing against Spanish La Liga side Real Betis three days later.

Zamalek will play a third friendly game against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.

Ahly, Zamalek’s arch-rivals, have also begun a training camp in the UAE on Monday to prepare for their CAF Champions League campaign.

The Egyptian League has been suspended since the first of February, following the Port Said disaster which left more than 70 fans dead and hundreds injured.
