MENA , Tuesday 10 Dec 2019

Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority (ACA), Sherif Seif El-Din said the anti-corruption system in Egypt saw a huge development during the past five years.

During his meeting with a delegation of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) on Monday, Seif El-Din said that Egypt adopted clear measures to enhance transparency, integrity and to fight corruption over the last five years.

Egypt has been keen on implementing international agreements and treaties on fighting corruption, namely the United Nations Convention against Corruption and the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption, he added.

Minister of Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform Hala el Saeed told the delegation that ACA has played an effective role in helping and promoting the government and all the state's ministries and bodies in all fields including illegal gain cases and suspicious financial operations that might include money laundering crimes.
