Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi toured on Saturday the branch of King Salman International University in Sinai's Sharm El-Sheikh.

Egyptian Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady stated that President El-Sisi reviewed the progress in construction of King Salman University and inspected all the facilities of the Sharm El-Sheikh branch.

The branch in the Red Sea resort city comprises four faculties: the Faculty of Alsun; Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality; Architecture Faculty; and Faculty of Art and Design.

The campus is built on a 35-acre plot.

The branch also includes a number of administrative, sports, service and residential buildings.

King Salman University has three branches in South Sinai governorate: in Sharm El-Sheikh; El-Tor; and Ras Sedr.

Construction of the branches began in July 2017 and is set to be completed in March 2020.

The first phase of the university consists of 10 faculties, and there are plans to add five more in the future.
