Opening the new year 2020, famous Egyptian actor Mohamed Ramadan has released a new music video on his YouTube channel titled Bum Bum.

Putting the listener into a party mood, the video begins with the words: "We are going out, Bum Bum."

The soft background jazz music is soon replaced by rhythmic oriental-style beats as Ramadan begins rapping the lyrics.

As Ramadan enters a party, he is offered to drink alcohol, to which he replies, "I don't drink." Yet, he takes the glass.

"My legs are shaking, my body is aching... Suddenly my heart began beating like Bum Bum," go the lyrics, describing the effect of alcohol on the body.

Only hours after its release, the video gained over half-a-million views and almost 80,000 likes.

The video clip is directed by Mohamed Sami, with music by Dezel and Power El 3aly.

Though he initially gained famed as one of Egypt's most popular film and television actors, over the past year Ramadan has turned to singing, attracting a large number of fans to his clips and occasional concerts.

Having signed a singing contract with Rotana, earlier this year Ramadan released the song 'Baba', the video clip for which garnered over 30 million views in its first few weeks after release.
