Egypt's Mido, Ivory Coast's Drogba to show up at Cairo's FIFA talks ahead of CAF awards gala

Former attacking stars Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam  of Egypt and Ivory Coast's Didier Drogba, alongside other football giants, will be attending a discussion with football fans at Cairo University on Monday, one day ahead of the 2019 CAF awards gala, taking place in Hurghada.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Sunday that French player and current Bayern Munich central defender Laura Georges, former Frensh forward Youri Djorkaeff and former Ivorian footballer Clementine Toure will also be attending the Monday's FIFA legends talks.

"It's a special time to be a student at the Cairo University. Football giants @didierdrogba, @midoahm, @youridjorkaeff, @GeorgesLaura and Clémentine Touré ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฎ will be at the @CairoUniv on the 6th of JAN, 1 day before the #CAFAwards2019, to answer your questions ," reads the CAF's a statement .

The former Zamalek, Ismaily and Wadi Degla coach Mido, 36, currently head coach of Egyptian Club Maqassa, hanged up his boots in June 2013 after serving a host of European clubs including Ajax, Celta Vigo, Marseille, Roma, Tottenham, Wigan and West Ham.

Drogba. 41, announced his football retirement in 2018 after a glittering football career with the Ivorian national team and also big European clubs like Le Mans, Marseille, Chelsea and Galatasaray.

Egypt stars; Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah and Zamalek midfielder Tarek Hamed have been included in CAF shortlist of nominees of the 28th edition of the annual football awards that celebrates best African footballers and officials of each year.
