Saudi King Salman sends Sisi message affirming deep Egyptian-Saudi ties

Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz underlined the deep Egyptian-Saudi ties in a written letter he sent to Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, Saudi state news agency SPA said.

The king affirmed that he seeks to enhance bilateral strategic ties with Egypt in all fields, and continue joint cooperation and consultations on regional and international issues, it added.

The message was handed to El-Sisi during his meeting in Cairo with Saudi Minister of African Affairs Ahmed Abdul-Aziz Qattan.

President El-Sisi spoke about the special relations between Egypt and the Kingdom and said that the two countries constitute a pillar of stability in the Arab region, according to a statement by the Egyptian presidency.

President El-Sisi expressed Egypt's hope for continued efforts to develop cooperation with the kingdom to serve the interests of the Egyptian and Saudi people as well as those of the Arab and Muslim worlds.

Saudi Arabia is one of Egypt's closest Arab allies.
