Egypt will see rain and cooler weather on Saturday after a week of mild weather, Egypt's Meteorological Authority said.
The EMA forecasts chilly weather on Saturday morning and extremely cold weather at night nationwide, with light and moderate showers in Cairo and in Lower Egypt governorates.
The north-western coasts, eastern coasts and Central Sinai will see moderate to heavy rainfall, the EMA said.
Cairo and Lower Egypt governorates will also see winds, turning dusty in Upper Egypt and Halayib and Shalateen.
Highs in Cairo will reach 16 degrees Celsius, dropping to 10 degrees in Cairo at night.
The coastal city of Alexandria will see almost the same highs as Cairo, with lows at around 11 degrees.
The popular winter Red Sea resorts of Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh will see highs of 20 to 21 degrees and lows of 12 and 11 degrees.
The southern cities of Luxor and Aswan will witness highs of 20 degrees and lows of 8 and 10 degrees respectively.
There will be turbulence in navigation on the Mediterranean, with waves of 3-3.8 metres high. The Red Sea will see waves of 1.8-2.3 metres.
