Egyptian tobacco company Eastern Company (Al-Ahram)
Cigarette maker Eastern Company has announced the launch of a new product in the Egyptian market, a ten-cigarette pack to be called the Cleopatra Box.
In a disclosure statement sent to the Egyptian bourse, the company said the packet would be sold for EGP10.
The new product launch came on the back of increasing tobacco prices after a recent hike in VAT.
The company also said that it had raised prices on a number of products by around 2 to 10 percent, as of 2 March.
