Zamalek’s Moroccan winger Achraf Bencharki stressed that he's expecting his team to qualify for the final of the African Champions League.

"I expect Zamalek will qualify for the final because it's a tough team which possesses a special group of the best players," Bencharki told Zamalek TV.

Zamalek qualified for the semifinal of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League after defeating Tunisia's Esperance 4-1 in aggregate, to meet Morocco's Raja Casablanca in the semis.

While the arch-rivals Ahly also qualified for the semis to face Morocco's Wydad Casablanca, after defeating South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns 3-1 in aggregate.

"I wish Wydad defeats Ahly and qualifies to face us in the final, but this game will be very difficult and it's very hard to predict the result," former Wydad winger revealed.

"If we faced Wydad in the final it will be a very tough game for me and for Ounajem, because it's our home club, but in the end it will be a very interesting match," the 25-year-old winger Moroccan added.

Both Bencharki and Mohamed Ounajem started their senior career in the Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca where both won with the team the 2016-2017 CAF Champions League.

"I always prefer to play in front of a massive number of fans, I usually perform better in the big games as I did in the Egypt Super Cup final and the African Super Cup final," he concluded.
