Renowned Egyptian singer Mohamed Sarwat will hold a livestreamed Islamic chanting concert without spectators, entitled 'Mohajah' (Praying), on Thursday 14 May, where he will feature five chanting stars; Ahmed Saad, Wael El-Fashny, Ihab Younis, Mostafa Atef and Mahmoud Hilal.

This is the second concert of its kind by Sarwat, after he hosted most of the same featured guests last month amid Shaaban middle night celebrations, where he received positive interactions with over 1 million viewers.

Sarwat is a known Egyptian singer and actor whose career flourished in the 1980s, collaborating with many of his country's music legends, including Mohamed Abdul-Wahab, Mohamed El-Mougy and Mounir Mourad. He has sung many love, patriotic and kids’ songs in addition to many Islamic songs.

Ahmed Saad is a famous pop singer, composer and actor who occasionally sings Islamic chants, while Wael El-Fashny, an expert in Mawal, has gained much praise this Ramadan for his song in the hit TV series Al-Akhtiyar.

Ihab Younis, Mostafa Atef and Mahmoud Hilal are in the first row of the Islamic chanting style in Egypt, and each has solo projects and is frequently featured by many famous singers and musicians.

Organised by the Basement Records and Big-Billboard, the concert will start at 10pm through this link, and will also be broadcasted on Mazzika TV channel.

Since the current lockdown of all pubic activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many Egyptian musicians have been performing live concerts online.
