Only two days after its release on Netflix (on 1 June), the Egyptian horror/thriller '122' became 2nd most watched film in Egypt.
Directed by Yasir Al-Yasiri and script by Salah El Gehiny, the film's action takes place on a "bloody night in a place where we are supposed to feel safe," the film's brief posted on IMDb reveals.
"A young man and his beloved are struggling not to reach the hospital, but to run away from it. They are trying to survive the night."
The film stars Ahmed Dawood, Ahmad El-Fishawi, Tarek Lotfy and Amina Khalil.
'122' premiered in January 2019 and it was nominated to two Best Foreign Teaser awards at the Golden Trailer Awards.
The film is available to over 183 million Netflix viewers in 190 countries.
