Egypt's Health Ministry reported on Monday 1,576 new cases of coronavirus in the country, bringing the total number of infections to 56,809.
The ministry also reported 85 fatalities, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 2,278.
The ministry added that 397 patients have fully recovered and were discharged from quarantine hospitals bringing the total number of fully recovered patients nationwide to 15,133.
The Health ministry also revealed that the number of patients whose PCR test results have turned from positive to negative, including complete recoveries, has now reached 16,613.
