Egypt detected 667 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, reporting a total infection tally of 89,745, the health ministry announced.
The ministry also reported 41 new deaths, bringing the total deaths from the virus to 4,440.
The statement said that 602 patients, have been discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to 30,075.
Egypt has been seeing a significant drop in detected coronavirus cases, registering daily cases lower than 1,000 for the 14th consecutive day.
Despite the reopening of the country late month, the daily figure has stabilised with the country's record of daily coronavirus cases — 1,774 infections recorded 19 June — kept unbroken to date.
