Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson has praised the performance of his teammate Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah after celebrating the Premier League trophy on Wednesday, the club's first since 1990.
"Another amazing season. People may be critical at times, but Mo Salah has been outstanding," Henderson was quoted as saying on Liverpool Echo on Thursday after lifting the trophy.
"Just look at what he has achieved so far. He has made a huge difference since he came to the club," Henderson added.
Since joining the Reds in 2017, Salah led Liverpool to a Champions League victory in 2019, Super Cup and Club World Cup titles in 2019 before claiming the English Premier League title this season.
The 28-year-old has shattered most of the scoring records for Liverpool and claimed back-to-back Premier League Golden Boot awards in 2018 and 2019.
"He (Salah) set the bar so high, people expect that every year. But look at his performances and his goals; he is incredible,” Henderson said.
