Numerous Cairo theatres will reopen their doors to audience during the upcoming Eid Al-Adha, the management of the Theatre Artistic House at the Ministry of Culture announced on Monday.
Ismail Mokhtar, head of the Theatre Artistic House expressed his happiness to welcome the actors and the audiences to the venues which witnessed an over four-month-long shutdown due to the Coronavirus disruption.
Mokhtar stressed that all precautionary measures are being set in place in the venues reopening in Cairo and Alexandria.
Among the plays to be performed in Cairo during the upcoming Eid El Adha are The Optimist at the National Theatre, The Accident at El Ghad (Tomorrow) Theatre, two plays at the halls of El Taleya (Avant-Garde) Theatre, Moliere's The Miser staged by the Youth Theatre troupe at Malak Opera, among others.
Alexandria's Bayram El-Tunisi Theatre will host Cairo's Modern Theatre troupe with their successful show 'Happy Journey'.
The youngest viewers will be able to attend plays tailored for them at the Cairo's Metropole Theatre and at the Puppet Theatre in Attaba in Downtown Cairo.
