Pyramids FC captain and playmaker Abdallah El-Said resumed training on Monday just in time for the club’s crucial game against Zamalek on Thursday.

Pictures posted on the club's social media accounts showed the 36-year-old influential midfielder training with the team for the first time since he was stretched off against Smouha on 21 August due to a thigh strain.

El-Said missed his team's victories against El-Entag El-Harby 3-0 and Aswan 2-1.

The gifted playmaker is much welcomed against Zamalek in their battle for the second spot that will secure them a place in next season's African Champions' League.

The former Ahly and Ismaily playmaker has been Pyramids FC's deadliest weapon this season, scoring 16 goals and creating four assists in 19 games.

He also reached a milestone this season after surpassing the 100-goal mark in the Egyptian Premier League.

El-Said has now 107 goals over 15 seasons to rank sixth amongst the Premier League's greatest scorers after Hassan El-Shazly (173 goals), Hossam Hassan (168 goals), El-Sayed El-Dhizui (127 goals), Mostafa Riyad (122 goals) and Mahmoud El-Khatib (109 goals).

Pyramids FC and Zamalek are at the same level with 45 points, far behind runaway leaders Ahly who have 62 goals.
