Egyptian veteran actress Aida Kamel has passed away on Monday at the age of 89 in a hospital in Cairo after a long struggle with illness.
"Oh God! I have no one but you. Glory to you," the actress has emotionally wrote through social media three weeks ago, requesting from her fans to pray for her.
Kamel has appeared in over 120 TV, radio, cinema and theater works.
She collaborated with stars of many generations including Ismael Yassin, Mohamed Fawzi, Farid El-Atrash, Faten Hamama, Shadia and Omar El-Sherif.
In film, the actress, who received multple awards in her career, appeared in Sett El-Hosn, Raqset El-Wadae and Youssef Chahine's acclaimed film Alexandria Why.
In TV, she appeared in Hawanem Garden City, Al-Less Allazy Oheboh and many historic series, in addition to taking part in a big collection of radio drama.
Aida Kamel's was last honored at Al-Hanager Theater in 2007 where the Egyptian Culture Ministry awarded her for life long achievements with the Pioneers Armor award.
