Two separate Libyan delegations are heading to Cairo on Tuesday to discuss a deadlock between rival factions in the conflict-hit country, Saudi news agency Al-Arabiya reported sources as saying.
A first delegation, comprised of members of the Libyan State Council, left Misrata Airport for Cairo, Al-Arabiya reported.
The second one includes four MPs and the national security advisor to the head of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj.
He will present an initiative to solve the crisis, Al-Arabiya added.
No further details were given.
Libyan delegations are currently holding talks in Morocco in the hopes of reaching a resolution to the conflict.
The delegations participating in the talks have decided to extend the period of negotiations to a fourth day on Thursday, according to Al Arabiya television.
A Libyan source told Ahram Online that there are also talks ongoing between Libyan delegations in Geneva, and that Cairo has been informed about them as it is expected to play a pivotal role in solving the crisis.
