Egypt reports 167 new coroanvirus cases, 12 deaths on Monday

The country has recorded a total of 106,707 infections and 6,211 fatalities since the outbreak began in February

Egypt reported 167 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total infection tally to 106,707 since the outbreak began in February.

The health ministry also reported 12 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 6,211.

The statement said that 78 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 98,981.
