Zamalek signed Egyptian-Danish forward Amir Adel, also known as Alexander Jakobson, on a free transfer for four seasons.

The 26-year-old winger was released from his Norwegian club Sarpsborg last October, staying without a club until the Whites decided to include him ahead of the new season.

Adel, who was named The Danish Ronaldinho for his skills and looks — which are similar to those of the Brazilian legend Ronaldinho El-Gaucho, played for many European clubs in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden; the biggest club he had been a part of was the Dutch famous PSV Eindhoven, but he only played in their youth squads.

The Danish Ronaldinho played in the Egyptian national team in only one game, a friendly against Togo in 2017 under the lead of Argentinean Coach Hector Cuper.

Adel is Zamalek’s second new transfer after they have signed the Tunisian full back Hamza Mathlouthi, in addition to ending the loan of both Mohamed Ashraf and the Moroccan winger Hamid Ahadad.
