Ahly have announced the signing of Congolese striker Walter Bwalya from Egyptian Premier League team Gouna during the winter transfer window for four years without disclosing the financial details.
The 25-year-old attacker is Ahly's first signing during the winter transfer window that kicks off on 1 January 2021 to be available for the team's selection.
The in-form striker is expected to be a well edition for Ahly's squad ahead of the Red Devils' participation in the FIFA Club World Cup that will take place in Qatar next month.
Bwalya joined Gouna in the summer transfer window of the 2019 season coming from Zambian side Nkana FC.
The Congolese striker made five appearances with Gouna in the Egyptian Premier League this season scoring three goals.
"My performance with Gouna helped me in joining Ahly," Bwalya told the Egyptian sports website filgoal.
"I am ready to participate with Ahly as well as booking a regular place in the team's squad," he added.
The African Champions League title holders Ahly are preparing to take part in the FIFA Club World Cup so the team management decided to sign new football stars to support the squad with new faces who can make the difference in the international event.
"Ahly is a big team and I hope to meet the fans' expectations," Bwalya added.
