EgyptAir said passengers traveling to Jordan should present a negative COVID-19 test carried out at a certified lab no later than 72 hours before their flight.
According to an official statement, EgyptAir has been urging traveling passengers to Amman to provide a COVID-19 travel insurance document, and download Jordan’s Aman application, which alerts users when they are suspected of being infected or have been in contact with a person who is infected.
Travelers to Jordan will also be tested upon arrival at an additional cost, the statement added, with children under five exempted from the travel restrictions.
Jordan reported 978 new cases and 17 deaths on Wednesday, bringing the infections tally since the outbreak to 317,405.
Its death toll currently stands at 4,187.
