Egypt striker Ahmed “Kouka” Hassan scored twice and created a third goal in Olympiacos' 3-1 win at Apollon Smyrnis on Sunday as they opened up a 14-point lead over their nearest challengers in the Greek Super League.

The towering frontman opened the scoring in the 31st minute after being set up by Thanasis Androutsos. He then turned from scorer to provider to help Yann M’Vila double the lead in the 72nd minute.

The hosts pulled one back in the 90th minute through a goal from Abiola Dauda but Kouka put the game beyond doubt with an injury-time strike after being teed up by Matthieu Valbuena.

Olympiacos seem to have already put one hand on the league title as they have 54 points, enjoying a staggering lead over second-placed AEK Athens, who have 40 points after 20 games.

Kouka, who has  made his third starting appearance, increased his tally to seven goals in 11 league games.

The 27-year-old has been out of action for nearly two months due to a coronavirus infection that he got last November while on international duty.

He returned to the Olympiacos fold earlier this month, quickly making his mark.
