Egypt will experience a spell of colder and unstable weather starting Tuesday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) announced on Saturday.

In an official statement, the EMA said temperatures will drop nationwide in the next three days and sand storms and rainfall on coasts are also forecast.

Mahmoud Shahin, director of the Analysis Department at the EMA, said in press statements that Cairo will feel highs ranging from 15 to 16 degrees Celsius starting Tuesday.

Temperatures are expected to drop from three to six degrees nationwide, following several weeks of unseasonably warm temperatures.

The spell of cold and unstable weather will continue until Thursday, Shahin forecast.

In the past few days, Egypt has seen heavy fog in the early mornings on some agricultural roads and other highways, forcing multiple roads closure to ensure the safety of citizens.
