Information and Decision Support Center - IDSC
Egypt’s cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Centre (IDSC) has launched on Monday the IDSC App for mobile phones.
The cabinet said that the app provides updated data and information from various sources to highlight the performance of all sectors.
It added that the app has nearly 2,000 values and data items for local and global indicators, prices of commodities locally and globally, the most significant indicators of stock exchanges and financial markets, and the exchange rates of various currencies.
Moreover, the app tackles the most important market trends by listing the prices of over 75 commodities locally and globally, in addition to the global prices of essential commodities such as petroleum, natural gas, metals, agricultural crops, and others, according to the IDSC.
The app provides the local prices for over 30 local commodities that are surveyed and periodically updated, including vegetables, fruits, meat, construction materials, and fertilisers.
It also presents national social and economic data that covers the state’s public budget, inflation, investment, GDP, monetary data, and population, and natural growth.
Developments of local indicators for over 10 years are reviewed to include over 1,000 values for the various items of local data. It reviews Egypt’s position in the global indicators to cover — in its current version — over 50 global indicators. They include over 500 sub-indicators that are updated according to their global sources once published.
On the other hand, the app extends a follow-up of key editorials and international reports from different newspapers, foreign press agencies, and global websites, as well as analyses of key experts and specialists in all fields; moreover, it monitors the most important local, regional, and international events and news around the clock.
Currently, the app contains over a thousand reports and multimedia materials.
