Egypt's red-hot striker Mostafa Mohamed took his tally to six goals in six games with Galatasaray as his double salvo powered them to a 2-0 win over Erzurum BB in the Turkish league on Saturday.

Mohamed opened the scoring on 38 minutes, firing home from five meters after a poorly-cleared cross fell to his path.

He added the second on the stroke of halftime in superb fashion, sneaking behind the defence to meet Christian Luyindama's pinpoint long pass with a powerful close-range volley that went in off the bar.

The 23-year-old continued his impressive start to life in Turkish football after joining from Cairo giants Zamalek on a year-and-a-half loan deal for $2 million last month.

He now has six goals to his name in as many appearances -- five in the league and one in the domestic cup.

Galatasaray officials said recently the club had already settled on activating a clause in Mohamed's loan contract that would allow them to sign him permanently at the end of the year for a further $4 million.

The Istanbul side lead the league table with 57 points, three clear of Besiktas, who have a game in hand.
