Egyptian actress Ahlam El-Geretly passed away on Sunday, the actors syndicate revealed.

Born on 20 February 1948, El-Geretly is known for many roles mainly in television series, in addition to some appearances in cinema.

She is well remembered for her roles in Game of destiny (1979), Souq Al-Aasr (2001), Layaly Al-Helmiya (2005).

Her most recent works include roles in Qadyet Safia (2010), Haret Al-Yahood (2015), Ragel w Set Setat (2016), Awalem Khafeya (2018),  Al-Ostora (2016), and Al-Fetewa (2020).

Apart of her on-screen career, El-Gerelty was also involved in the dubbing of many animated films.

Her artistic portfolio also includes numerous theatrical roles.

The details about the funeral and wake for El-Geretly are yet to be revealed.
