Egyptian president Abel-Fattah El-Sisi inspected on Friday a number of road projects that are under construction in Cairo, ordering equipping all new road projects with needed services, a statement by the Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady read.
The tour included roads and bridges in the area of the El-Shahid Axis and the Shinzo Abe Axis, which is named after Japan's longest serving prime minister.
The statement added that these road projects will contribute to facilitating the movement of citizens and vehicles. It will also put an end to traffic congestion in these areas since it links east Cairo with New Cairo and the New Administrative Capital.
During the tour, El-Sisi was briefed on the latest developments in the ongoing work related to upgrading roads and services in El-Amal City.
He also inspected the work on developing the Child Park in the Sixth District in Nasr City.
The President highlighted the major importance of these axes in promoting the development process, as well as regulating and facilitating traffic.
