87' Egypt make another double substitution. Striker Hossam Hassan replaces Mostafa Mohamed and Pyramids winger Mohamed Farouk replaces Afsha. 

85' Egypt move the ball around but are still finding it hard to create openings. 

79' Mostafa Mohamed just fails to control a diagonal cross from Mohamed Salah. Can Egypt find a winner in the last 10 minutes? They will try to make their numerical advantage count.

51' A double chance for Egypt! Mostafa Mohamed breaks clear but fails to round the keeper. The ball then falls to Afsha, who squares the ball to Salah but the Liverpool talisman's shot goes high over from a good scoring position.  

48' The first chance for Kenya in the second half! El-Shennawi's smothers a shot before a follow-up effort from the lively Olunga hits the side netting.

41' A goal for Kenya is disallowed! Masud Juma is adjudged to have handled the ball as he skipped past Mohamed Hani on the right hand side of the area and blasted home. 

38' A Kenyan winger cuts inside but sends a tame shot that is easily collected by El-Shennawi. 

37' Kenya have the better possession but Egypt defence remains comfortable. 

34' Kenya's pace causes problems for Egypt on the break. 

29' Egypt's Mahmoud Hamdi almost scores an own goal! His attempted clearance narrowly misses the target. 

26' Egypt regain their control, albeit without creating goal-scoring chances. 

24' Kenya's Anthony Akumu tries his luck from the edge of the area but his shot is blocked by El-Shennawi. 

21' An Egypt corner causes mayhem in the area but Kenya's defence clears following a goal-mouth scramble. 

18' Egypt are denied a certain penalty after a crude challenge on winger Mahmoud Trezeguet. The referee waves play on! 

17' A close-range back header from a Kenyan forward is saved by  El-Shennawi.

14' A chance for Kenya! Olunga is picked out at the far post by a left-wing cross but he miscues his effort with the goal at his mercy. Egypt eases off after a strong start. 

11' A swerving Kenyan corner is tipped over the bar by El-Shennawi. 

11' Egypt defender Mahmoud El-Wensh makes a timely interception to clear a low Kenyan cross. 

8' A mistake by Egypt midfielder Tarek Hamed sees him send a poor back pass that is intercepted by Michael Olunga, whose low shot is collected by Egypt keeper Mohamed El-Shennawi. 

6' A long Kenyan throw-in is cleared by Egypt's defence. The Pharaohs make an impressive start to the game! 

5' Egypt's left-back Ahmed Mansour receives treatment after a Kenyan cross hit him.

2' Playmaker Magdi Afsha opens the scoring very early! Mohamed Hani exchanges passes with Salah on the right flank and pulls the ball back, with a clever dummy from Mostafa Mohamed allowing the ball to roll to Afsha, who took it in his stride and blasted an unstoppable shot into the top near corner.

14:30 Kenya coach Jacob Mulee believes the game against Egypt will be difficult as his team will face one of the biggest teams in Africa with more talented players in their squad.

"We didn't achieve any previous victory over Egypt so our main target is to win the game to keep our hopes of reaching the finals alive," Mulee said ahead of the game.

14:00 Egypt recovered from the unexpected  shocking draws with Kenya and Comoros in their first two matches in Group G, when they claimed two home and away victories over Togo, which put them in a pole position to book one of the group's two tickets to Cameroon.
