Moscow police on Sunday arrested far-left Russian opposition leader Sergei Udaltsov as he was on stage giving a speech to a protest rally in Moscow, television pictures showed.
Police stormed onto the stage of the rally where Udaltsov had been addressing protestors and took him away to a waiting detention vehicle. The Interfax news agency said fellow opposition leader Alexei Navalny was later also arrested.
