Egypt to see warm weather during upcoming holidays

Egyptian public and private sectors will start a five-day holiday as of Thursday on the occasions of Sinai Liberation Day, Labour Day, and Sham El-Nessim

Temperatures are expected to rise in some parts of Egypt from Thursday through Tuesday after a brief drop over the past days, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said.

Hot weather is expected in the North Coast during the daytime, and extremely hot weather is expected in Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta, South Sinai, and the southern part of the country.

Active winds are forecast for Greater Cairo, Nile Delta, and Upper Egypt.

From Thursday to Saturday, Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta will see highs ranging from 36 to 37 degrees Celsius and lows ranging from 19 to 21.

Upper Egypt governorates will see highs ranging from 37 to 42 and lows ranging from 21 to 27 during the next three days, the EMA added.

Vital facilities are not covered in the cabinet's decree, including transport services, ambulances, hospitals, water and sanitation services, and electricity.
