Already-qualified Pyramids FC ended their African Confederation Cup group-stage campaign with a 1-0 home victory over Tanzania's Namungo on Wednesday.
Winger Ibrahim Adel scored what proved to be the winner three minutes past the hour mark following a superb three-man move as Pyramids continued their recent improvement.
He was released by a defence-splitting pass from Ibrahim Hassan to race clear and send a delicate chip over the keeper and into the net.
The match was a dead-rubber as Pyramids had already secured qualification to the knockout stage after beating Zambia's Nkana 1-0 away from home last week.
They finished their Group D campaign as runners-up with 12 points, three behind leaders Raja of Morocco, who can maintain their 100 percent record if they beat Nkana later in the day.
Pyramids reached the final of Africa's secondary club competition last season, only to lose to Morocco's RS Berkane.
