These include 1.7 million shots under the COVAX agreement, scheduled to arrive next week, Zayed added at the cabinet's weekly meeting.

One million Chinese Sinopharm jabs are set to arrive over two shipments by late May as well, she stated.

Egypt will also receive 500,000 shots of China’s Sinovac this week.

The national coronavirus vaccination campaign has depended so far on Sinopharm and Oxford AstraZeneca vaccines.
