Egypt reported 1,293 new coronavirus cases on Saturday bringing the total infection tally officially to 244,520 since the outbreak began in February.
The health ministry also reported 63 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 14,269.
The statement said that 760 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 180,577.
