'Al-Makan' (‘The Place’), a one-minute film by Jordanian young actor Omar Rammal, has been trending in various social media platforms on Sunday as commentators thought it summarises Palestinians' decades long suffering from the Israeli occupation in a simple but fulfilling way.

Thousands of Arab viewers, including many experienced artists and directors, have shared the short film, praising its makers.

“I’d hope that all the people in the world would watch this very short video, it just sums it all,” stated acclaimed Egyptian director Amr Salama sharing the film and ending his tweet with the hashtag: #Free_Palestine.

Omar Rammal is a 21-year-old filmmaker student at SAE Institute Amman in Jordan who started his career in photography before taking his steps in cinematography, according to his YouTube channel.

Ahram Online approached the director but he was not available to comment.
