Portuguese coach Nelo Vingada started his mission as the Egyptian Football Association's (EFA) technical manager on Wednesday.
“Vingada postponed his arrival in Cairo until he had received the second shot of COVID-19 vaccine in Portugal,” read a statement on the EFA's Facebook page.
The EFA hopes Vingada will develop a technical strategy for its national teams and local competitions.
Vingada had led Zamalek to win the 2003-2004 Egyptian Premier League before coaching the U-20 national team.
