Egypt's U23 team kicked off their preparations for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo by starting a two-week training camp on Tuesday.
The Pharaohs will face South Africa in two friendly games on 10 and 13 June as part of their preparations for the Tokyo Games.
Coach Shawky Gharib named a preliminary 30-man squad for the training camp, which includes Galatasaray striker Mostafa Mohamed and Wolfsburg forward Omar Marmoush.
Ahly wingers Taher Mohamed Taher and Salah Mohsen and Zamalek full-back Ahmed Fatouh were also included in the roster, as were Pyramids star Ramadan Sobhi and Zamalek midfielder Emam Ashour.
Egypt were drawn in a tough group at the Olympic Games along with heavyweights Spain, Argentina and Australia.
The 2012 quarter-finalists open their campaign against Spain on 22 July before facing Argentina three days later and Australia on 28 July.
