Sisi directs to rapidly send equipment into Gaza for reconstruction

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed concerned bodies on Tuesday to rapidly send equipment into Gaza Strip for the reconstruction process.

President Sisi's instructions came in response to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's request and the meeting of Director of the General Intelligence Service (GIS) Abbas Kamel with ministers of the Palestinian authority.

Ministers of the Palestinian Authority are set to arrive in Cairo next week to coordinate the reconstruction process.

Meanwhile, Abbas instructed the ministers to fully cooperate with Egypt to implement Sisi's initiative to reconstruct the enclave.

Earlier on Monday, Sisi said Egypt exerts great efforts to stabilize the ceasefire and open the door for the political process in cooperation with the international powers, topped by the US, calling on all regional and international powers to support Egypt's reconstruction efforts.
