Egypt reports 242 new coronavirus infections, 25 deaths on Thursday

The total infection tally reaches 281,524, while death toll stands at 16,194

Egypt reported 242 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, bringing the total infection tally officially to 281,524 since the outbreak began in February 2020.

The health ministry also reported 25 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 16,194.

The statement said that 675 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 212,059.
