Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated on Thursday morning the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) 8th ministerial conference on women, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.
The event, which is hosted by the country's New Administrative Council, will witness the launch of the Women's Development Organisation (WDO) at its permanent headquarters in Egypt.
The WDO will be the first international organisation, in the framework of the OIC, specialised in promoting and protecting women's rights in all member states of the Islamic organisation, according to Rady.
