Egypt's Ministry of Health reported 110 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total infection tally officially to 283,212 since the outbreak began in February 2020.

The ministry also reported 7 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 16,403.

The statement added that 879 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, pushing the total number of recoveries to 219,219.
