Sisi lauds Apache corporation expansion in Egypt’s petroleum field

The expansion will enhance Egypt’s endeavours to become a regional hub for trade in energy, El-Sisi said

Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi hailed on Wednesday the US Apache Corporation's recent deal with the petroleum ministry to expand its activities in the fields of oil exploration and production in the local market.
 
This came during El-Sisi's meeting with Board Chairman of Apache Corporation John Christmann along with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla, a statement by the Egyptian presidency read.
 
The expansion of Apache’s activities will enhance Egypt’s endeavours to become a regional hub for trade in energy, El-Sisi said. 
 
The Egyptian president instructed continued coordination and to facilitate the work of the American company. 
 
El-Sisi stressed the distinguished cooperation and partnership between Egypt, the US, and its companies. 
 
Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady stated that El-Sisi affirmed Egypt's support for the development of mutual cooperation between the two sides, given the long history of the company and its activities in Egypt as well as its valued societal role in Egypt.
 
El-Sisi highlighted the collaboration strategy and partnership relations between Egypt and all American companies within the framework of the distinguished relations between the two countries, Rady said.
Christmann praised El-Sisi's wise leadership and ambitious vision, noting that they have turned Egypt into a successful developmental and economic model at the regional and global levels. 
 
 
He stated that “Egypt comes at the top of countries in which the company is interested in boosting its investments” in light of the current positive investment climate in the country in addition to the promising opportunities that its energy sector enjoys.
 
Christmann also hailed the deeply-rooted relations between Egypt and the US in various fields, the statement added.
