The Sharm El-Sheikh International Theater Festival for Youth (SITFY) unveiled on Monday its board members for its sixth edition, which will take place in November in South Sinai, with Egyptian renowned actor and director Mohamed Sobhy set to reprise his position as the chairman of the festival.
Egyptian evergreen acclaimed actress Samiha Ayoub, dubbed the Lady of Arab Theatre, will also continue to be the event's honorary president.
The supreme committee of the festival also combines director Mazen El-Gharabawi and Engy Bastawy, as well as members professor Hisham Azmy, journalist Khairy Ramadan, director Adel Abdo; and actors Hani Kamal, Nidal El-Shafei, and Mohsen Mansour.
Backed by Egypt's Ministry of Culture and the Governorate of South Sinai, in addition to local and international cultural authorities and private companies, SITFY's fifth edition ran under strict safety measures to avoid the spread of the coronavirus and featured a number of performances, honouring ceremonies, and workshops.
